Solstad Offshore in Norway has signed a frame agreement with Saipem (Portugal) Comercio Maritime for the construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Cutter. The frame agreement is valid for four years.
Under the terms of the agreement, Saipem can utilise Normand Cutter to support its subsea construction activity worldwide at pre-agreed commercial terms.
As part of the agreement, Saipem has declared initial utilisation of approximately six months from June 2017 for a project in West Africa.
Earlier this month, on behalf of a partly-owned company Normand Oceanic, Solstad entered into an agreement with the Mexican company Typhoon Offshore for another of its CSVs, Normand Oceanic. The contract is for three years commencing in May 2017. Normand Oceanic AS is a joint venture company owned by Solstad Offshore and Subsea 7.
