Norway-based LNG supplier Skangas has named Kimmo Rahkamo its new chief executive, replacing Tor Morten Osmundsen with effect from May 15.
Oil and gas veteran Mr Rahkamo joined the Skangas board in 2014. He has been managing director of Fenniarail since 2010 and previously held senior positions at Fortum and at Neste Oil.
Mr Rahkamo said in a statement: “LNG has remarkable growth potential in the Baltic Sea region’s industry, maritime transport and heavy-duty road transport sectors. Skangas is the leading player in the Nordic LNG market.
“I’m honoured to have been given the opportunity to lead this company and to respond to the needs of a growing market.”
Skangas chair Johanna Lamminen said: “Kimmo Rahkamo is very familiar with the company and has a clear vision about the future of Skangas. He is in an excellent position to lead Skangas and secure continued positive growth for the company.”
