Milestone for Havyard as first Brazilian-built anchor-handler is delivered
Bossa Nova is the first of six Havyard 843 anchor handlers that Grupo CBO ordered from the Norwegian designer

Havyard Group in Norway said the first Havyard 843 anchor handler of an initial batch of four ordered in 2014 by Grupo CBO has been completed.

A naming ceremony for the vessel, Bossa Nova, was held in Itajai, Brazil on 4 October 2017, at Oceana Shipyard.

Havyard began marketing the Havyard 843 design in Brazil in 2012. In the autumn of 2014 it secured the first contract for the design from a Brazilian company when Grupo CBO ordered four. In 2016, Grupo CBO ordered two more examples of the Havyard design.

The vessels are due to work for Brazil's state oil company Petrobras.
